Psychological Testing

Psychoeducational testing is one of our most comprehensive services and involves one-on-one, individualized assessment that includes tests of intelligence, achievement, personality, cognitive processing and social and emotional development. These tests can be used to diagnose cognitive strengths and weaknesses, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and the presence and intensity of behavioral or social difficulties. Our testing ranges from pre-school through adults. Most of our Psychoeducational Evaluations are administered over a two day period (approximately two hours each day) by one or more of our professional clinical staff which includes an educational psychologist, school psychologist, and/or licensed psychologist.

• The completion of a Developmental History Questionnaire, Behavioral Assessment System for Children (BASC-2) or a Conners-3 Questionnaire, and Teacher Questionnaires (when appropriate).
• A review of any previous school or medical records.
• Consultation to discuss and interpret test results and recommendations (usually about an hour).
• A written report with test results and recommendations.
• School conference (with permission).

Fees for the Psychoeducational Evaluation depend on the complexity of the assessment battery.

School Placement

We offer cognitive/achievement testing for several private schools in the area as part of their admission requirement. This may also help in determining the appropriate placement for the student and school.

Talented And Gifted

Our Psychoeducational Evaluation can also provide an assessment for helping identify children and adults who may be gifted.

Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)

Keller Clinic is on the approved list for several school districts in the tri-county area to provide an Independent Educational Evaluation.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) First Look Screening

We offer a comprehensive evaluation process for children and adults who are suspected of having attention problems (ADHD). We use standardized tests; teacher, parent and student rating scales; the Integrated Visual & Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA CPT); clinical and classroom observations; developmental history questionnaires (DHR); and as much background information as we can obtain to help differentiate between primary attention problems and secondary (look-alike) attention problems.
