Learning disabilities result from cognitive process deficits which affect academics and behaviors. Here at Keller, we conduct psychoeducational assessments which include measures of cognitive processing, academic achievement, functional behavior, and executive functioning. We are interested in determining not just if a person has a learning disability but also what processes have been affected and what type of remedial or compensatory interventions would be most appropriate. We provide our families with details reports of our findings including a detailed list of recommendations that can be implemented at home and at school. Our clinicians are available to make school visits to review results and consult with school administration and teachers.
